Obuda University invites students to participate in a one-week academic and cultural study trip to Tirana, Albania, organised within the framework of the university courses KULTKredit and CULTCredit. This short-term international mobility programme offers a unique opportunity to combine academic engagement with intercultural experience in one of Southeast Europe’s most dynamic and rapidly developing capitals.
The programme includes visits to the University of Tirana, participation in university classes, and structured academic reflection as part of the selected course. Alongside the academic components, students will take part in guided city tours, visits to historical and cultural landmarks, and organised excursions that provide deeper insight into Albanian history, society, and contemporary urban life. Participation in the full programme is expected from all selected students, as the academic and cultural elements form an integrated learning experience.
Students may earn 3 credits through the completion of course requirements linked to the study trip. For KULTKredit and CULTCredit, this includes active participation and the submission of an individual reflective report based on the academic and cultural experiences gained during the programme. Detailed information regarding deadlines and assessment criteria will be communicated after enrolment.
The study trip will take place between 9 and 15 March 2026 (including travel days where applicable). Students may organise their travel individually or follow the recommended group flight schedule. Accommodation will be arranged in shared hostel rooms in Tirana city centre, subject to availability. Estimated costs based on current prices include approximately 50,000 HUF for return flights, 30,000 HUF for accommodation (six nights in shared rooms), and around 9,000 HUF for mandatory programme-related activities. Final costs may vary depending on availability and final arrangements.
As the programme qualifies as a short-term international educational activity, participating students may be eligible to apply for PANNÓNIA short-term mobility scholarship support. Scholarship applications are submitted individually, and further information is available on the university’s official website.
Places are limited, and submission of the application form does not guarantee final participation. Selected applicants will receive confirmation via email following the application deadline. Students interested in gaining academic credit while experiencing an immersive international study environment are warmly encouraged to apply.
